Continuity of Operations (COOP) Solutions

Federal, state, and local governments including police, fire, emergency management, medical response, elected officials and others are the safety cornerstone for our communities before, during, and after any crisis situation. These organizations are required by FEMA’s National Incident Management System-NIMS to have contact lists, BC/DR - COOP plans, pandemic plans, disaster supplies, asset lists, incident procedures, shared resources and many more.

In addition, Homeland Security Presidential Directive-20 (HSPD-20) requires all executive branch federal agencies to maintain comprehensive and effective continuity capability composed of Continuity of Operations and Continuity of Government programs in order to ensure the preservation of our form of government under the Constitution and the continuing performance of National Essential Functions under all conditions. Trinity consultants have deep experience leading disaster recovery projects for state and federal government agencies to meet the requirements of NIMS and HSPD-20 following the Federal Continuity Directives (FCD 1 and 2).

Our Experience

One of the key lessons learned over the years is that disaster recovery programs cannot be developed and maintained in a vacuum. A key aspect of our engagements is that we incorporate disaster recovery planning into your organization’s day to day operations to ensure that disaster recovery impacts of organizational or technology changes are identified and addressed up front rather than after the fact when it is much harder to obtain budget and implement recovery solutions.

Following NIST and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) guidelines, Trinity carefully analyzes the client's program and project requirements through in-depth consultations with government COTR or client project managers and personnel. With information from the consultations and any additional background documentation, Trinity professionals develop a tailored and thorough Statement of Work (SOW) to address client project goals.
